1st of March!
I cant believe it! its the first of march, ITS MARCH ALREADY! and i am still here. where? nowhere! The word Depression sounds like wonderland for my present mental state now. >_< I kept thinking that I would be able to complete this by end of Dec after my Japan trip. I didnt. I TOT i was going to complete it by end of jan or by cny, but i DIDNT! And then i told myself, "no worries I will complete by end feb", guess what? I DIDNT! >_<
Siighhh.... now i hope to complete it by end of march, hopefully before my birthday. Although the data processing is done, I am about to start doing the simulations, which leaves the simulations, and the rest of the thesis writing (simulation, results, discussion and conclusion) but it seems FOREVER!!! Can i do it in time? CAN I?!!!?? ARgg!!!! I hands itch to hit some heads. and mind to get some rest....-_- Moan~~~~

a word a day (issue 1)
Making up new words.
I like to make up new words.
Making up new words. It make me feel like i contribute to society(on top of the research i do on solder material which will one day, revolutionalize how mankind smashes their portable electronic devices such as cellphones, discman, mp3 player and the ugly looking ipod, elk!). But more often then not, its most probably that i just mis-spell the word (on msn/icq). -_-
The first word i will be making up today, that i will be so generously sharing with u guys is,
Bluffer
noun
1. A person who mislead or deceive.
2. A person who impress, deter, or intimidate by a false display of confidence.
3. A person who deprives others of gossip which they have promised to talk about, but fails to deliver and should be dragged out onto the streets to be tickled, fed with bowls of wasabi (through the nose OF COURSE), made to drink Luo2 Han4 Guo3 juice, have cockcraches/lizards (depends which the offender fears most) put into his/her pants and forced to watch local variety shows over and over again.

Green Light!!!
Finally, after many breathless moments, actually, 45 minutes of it, of presenting my analysed results of my experiments, my supervisor has given me the green light to go ahead to do the simulation and start drafting the chapter on discussion!!! WhooHOooo!!!
2 of my lab-mates have just given us a treat at the nearby seafood restaurant. It was great man! The hot plate tofu, fried cod fish, boiled prawns and pork ribs were FANTASTIC!
Now back in lab again, will start rearranging my results and start simulation soon! hopefully in the next 1-2 days can test drive already. I have a staggering total of 54 simulations to run . . . . . . . . gasp!!!

Bad Day for SEM
1030am, i went to the materials lab to polish my samples before coating them with Au(GOLD) to help conductivity when placed into the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). All seems easy. Polish my specimen. Etch it with chemicals to make the microstructure more define, coat it was gold, and there you go! SEM sample ready for use. NOT!
Whats suppose to be a 1 hour task lasted for 3 WHOLE hours! Because the Au-sputtering machining went haywired and deposited a thick layer of Au instead of the usual thin layer. Then i had to redo the polishing and etching, oops... over-etched...so re-polished....and Opps.. over-etched AGAIN! ARGG~~~!!! So after 3 failed attempted, i finally got them done and coated my samples with Au.
This only left me with 1 hour to chop chop settled my lunch and prepare for the SEM session.... which turned out to be 2 hours of frustration of hide and seek and focusing nightmare!!! >_<

Love Letters
Last Saturday, I went to my friend's place to Bai4 Nien2. Basically just another hanging out session with lots of laugh and eat and playing of PS2, and of course, LOVE LETTERS! Those with chocolate twirls on the inside. Yummm.....
I got so addicted, i almost single handledly finish half the can >_<
But the addiction didnt stop there. Yesterday, during lunch, i went to the nearby supermarket and bought a tin of it for myself! And guess what, the addiction was spread to the rest of my lab. Within 2 hours (the time taken for me to leave my tin of love lettes UNPROTECTED) it was half empty!!! Gasp! But its good to share good things with friends :)
But things got too far. This morning, even the TIN was gone!

CNY SHOPPING!!!!
YESH!!! TOday, I went Chinese New Year Shopping!!!!
Thanks to my Dad's generous contribution to my save-the-scholar campaigne, I HAVE MONEY TO BUY NEW YEAR CLOTHES!!!
So first things first. office wear. I needed to go some clothes that i can use for future interviews and possibly WORK! >_< So i roamed around in Taka to look for them. To my disappointment, they either are too flowery, or too old fuddy duddyly. -_-" I tried a plain white shirt ( official formal office wear ) from Daniel Hecter, and i look like an 50 year old OLD MAN!!! >_< the cutting is all wrong man!!!
Then i move on the G2000. Vowing that i will not purchase any shirts from that place as i always tot it was too common and the tops are too plasticy, i went there in search of a decent (CHEAP) pair or office pants, and maybe the simple plain white top i was looking for. So i grabbed a pair of pants, and asked for a white shirt. But the sales assistant asked me to try on a pale PURPLE SHIRT!!! for size....... ........ i obeyed reluctantly. But to my suprise, the pale purple shirt looks quite good. gasp!!
Ok! listen me out here. i KNOW what it seems like, but neither did i ever dare to imagine i would look ok in purple. But it DOES look not bad. Maybe i like that cutting, but like my faithful friend said, maybe i am more suited for warm colours(watever that means) so maybe that purple goes. nevertheless, i like it. And after testing several stuff, finally to go with a plain pair of dark navy blue (almost black) pants, AND THE PURPLE SHIRT!!! Heh! ok guys, u guys gotto trust me here. My taste of clothings isnot THAT bad righT? RIGHT? right??? ..... hello......? hello?
But the BEST BUY was actually a pair of thin soled sneaker i got from Tangs. I have ALWAYS been looking for a pair or red shoes to go with my jeans. Always tot it look good. But after missing the chance to buy the one from Nike ( the one without shoelace, elastic type... er...nevermind), i have been searching high and low for sooo long. And thanks to "BAKA" who apperently have HIGH HIGH HIGH (translantes = EXPENSIVE$$ expensive$$) taste in clothings, for the first time, suggested i try somethign actually affordable. And thats the 69.90 dollar pair of RED SHOES!! ^_^ I love it! Honestly, i would have never tot of trying it as it might be too LOUD, but after her persuasion, i tried it on, and Liked it a lot! :) Thats why i like to shop with girls. They always make me try on stuff that i will NEVER even dream of trying, and SOMETIMES, just sometimes, it turns out to be a good buy :) So, i am although a sick, but a happy shopper :)

Oh! i also just trimmed my mane again at shinji matsuo.... so so la..:( i never like trimming my mane :(

Being Sick
Being sick is no fun. When you are sick, you cannot do what you are donig well. In my case for instance, I am suffering in lab mugging my thesis. And i cant even SUFFER properly now, thanks for my flu. I cant bang my head on the wall properly, I cant pluck out my hair strand by strand properly, I cant even curse and swear at my project and results properly. So being sick is no fun. It takes out the joy in being tortured by your thesis.

First a sore throat, then today, or more like mid of last night, a horrible runaway nose and cough. The week before NEW YEAR!!!! ARgggG!!!!!! It always seem to happen at this period. Its like some predestined prank that has been cast upon me at the period before the Lunar new year!
Its a curse i tell you! I am almost certain, that those whom i have visited during the previous new years had come together to place a curse on me, just because i have cleared out all their BA4 GUA1 everytime i visit them. I mean WHAT IS THIS?? Wheres the spirit of giving here? Even if i dont finish them, it would grow moldy after a while and they would have to waste it into the trash. I am actually doing them a favor. Sigh, unappreciative bunch of people... sigh. What has the world become.

A taste of FREEDOM!
Last weekend, was the FIRST weekend in the past 4 month that i have enjoyed, NOT coming to lab. gasp!!!! >_<
I almost forgot freedom tasted so GOOD!!!! But also not to mention tiring. Slept only 5 hours everynight for the pass 3 nights :( Sat was two of my friends birthday and my granddad's too. 4 hours of screaming in ktv gasping for air after every sentense of Wang Li Hong's "WeiYi" and i ended up being condamned back to singing Soo Yong Kang songs. :( Had to leave in the mids of dinner and heated gossips with my friends to rush over to my granddad's. Only to be greeted with suaning of the news that my younger cousin has already found a pretty girlfriend, and i am still condamned with my singlehood. >_<
Thats saturday. Sunday was even MORE tiring. Woke up at 7 with only 4+ hours of sleep to rush down to NYP to help out in the youth tournament. And last minute kanna arrowed to be court masters as the previous court master has been dragged to be a judge(even more tiring job). Haha. The whole tournament lasted till about 5... dead tired!!! >_< Never knew helping out in a tournament can sometimes be MORE tiring then participating in one. But the tournament was generally well run. Cos it was Smooth. No major kok-ups. GOOD! well done! :) Then i was jio-ed to go maxwell that area for xiao long bao dinner. Friends picked me up as i was too tired to drive down after the tournament. But actually, the suei3 jiao3 and guo1 tie4 was much better than the xiao long bao actually. Hmm.. maybe i dont really like xiao long baos bah. bah bah bah..... i keep saying BAH recently.. turning into a sheep liao. >_<
Sigh.. ok, now its BACK to work! :(

Honorary PhD
Honorary PhD for sultan of brunei.
What IS Honorary? Simply put it, its a free PhD universities BEG you to take so they can associate you with their univesity, no?
But honestly, i cant care less. I wanna do my work!!! -_-
Oh, helped my sis move shop till 1am in the morning! SHACK! dead tired man!!! We made a grand total of 6 trip to and fro the old an dnew shop. And i was in the loading and unloading party all 6 trips!!! gasp!!! its amazing i didnt ache all over today.
It gest better! Got to come office this morning early becos of the Honarary PhD thingy. Although the reception was so-so, but the jazz band was great. There is this female vocal, her voice is Wow! Words fail me. (although it usually does), but this time, it fails me more. Her voice is wonderfully charming. The kind that can sweep u off your feet man! Too bad she only did 3 numbers. One of them was Nora Jone's "Dont know why". NICE!!!!

W.W.S.S. Thats what my life is about now. This is all there is to my life right now. OH MAN!!! i am so sick of my depressed state. Always complaining on my blog. As if all you people out there reading my blog dont have ur own problems to be bother with.
But i still complain :P BO CHUP! Coz it makes me feel GOOD!
HAha, oh, my sis is moving her shop from Liang Court to PS this evening. And I am going to supply her MANPOWER :) Me man! Grr.. -_- ok.. lame. dame, mane.

I lost......to myself
I went for the selection today. I went there without expectation, just to see where i am. When we did a round-robin (means A fights B, B fights C and C fights A), i did quite well i suppose. Well not as in i beat my opponents, but more of i did good. I actually felt i improved. So i was relatively happy of my improvement and didnt think much of the selection results, until. Until i was called for another round-robin, meaning i ACTUALLY have a chance to get into the team. Cos they are actually giving me a second chance to consider me and 3 other guys. Which later i found out, they would be picking 2 out of these 4. But thats where the sad part comes.
I did not do my best. I was too anxious, i paniced (MORE then the first Round-Robin) and worried about my physical fitness( thanks to 4 months of no exercise). Thus, i begin to try to conserve my energy, and started losing spirit, focus, alertness and aggressiveness in my movements. Basically i did bad. Sigh.. the first move and i BLOCKED! WAT KINDA CRAP was THAT?!
I wont say i am not disappointed about not being picked (although i think it could have been a good thing actually, cos i wont have been confident about my standards at the point in time) But i was WAY WAY more pissed with my inability of staying focused, remain calm and maintain my aggressiveness. Sigh... just one of those things i feel like banging my head on the wall for....

Monday Pain
Was sooooooo tired today. Luckily the headaches gone. But i only managed to climb out of bed at noon. Maybe its the too many late nights or the over-exertion for my first training yesterday in months, or the lack of exercise, or all of the above. But i feel sooo crappy today. Body aching all over, well, basically not feeling very well la. Arg....
Think i can finally finish redo-ing the last few of my experiments that was left undone yesterday.
Looking at a kino card calender while waiting for the bus to come to my office, i realised that i only have 3 more weeks (including this wk) before the lunar new year. I MUST get my thesis done by then. MUST MUST MUST! My life seem to have only been going downhill ever since i graduated. Maybe finally leaving school and finding a job will help me find more purpose in my life. Maybe not. But anything is better then being stuck here to pay to work for them! >_< Elk!

Rubbish! All Rubbish!
After spending 2 days to prepare some of my extra specimens to redo some tests, I have FINALLY manage to start doing those experiments.
(Although i promised and even SWORE i will never touch my experiments again and enough is enough of my perfectionist ideals.... here i am again. Eating my own words and redoing my experiments. I would very much rather eat chocolate :P)
After testing the first 2 specimens (present time, 1145pm), the results are once again, INCONSISTANT!!!! WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Busy Busy Bee
A busy day today is.
Fresh at work at 845 and started working at 9 Sharp!
Decided I shall have to redo some of my experients because there are some gaps in the range of data i've got. Rather get it done then alwyas worrying about how i am going to find a way aropund it. Think it should max take 2 day i hope. Hope it will work.
At least this way, i feel as though i am doing SOMETHING.

Oh ya, a friend of mine did some checking on the free anti-virus product i mentioned in the previous post, and it turned out that its true that there are no free lunches. Seems to be that one of the major flaw of this freeware is that it "Slows down your computer considerably", as i quote from an online review website. So, I have decided to remove it after i used it to clear up all the viruses.

A new HOPE
Yes! This is when Obi wan finds luke. And i found this software recommended by a friend which detects viruses like trojan and worms more effectively then the other software which wasnt able to detect anything. After running it on my desktop, it detected 20 infected files (mainly trojan downloader, which most probably is the XXX which keeps secretly loading viruses into my desktop all the time). And best of all, its FREE!

That does it! I am Cursed!
After burning away the WHOLE weekend trying to cure the virus and reinstalling my windows, today, while i was updating the windows patches, i was infected with another WORM virus!!!

System problem defeated! Yay! My friend came all the way to my lab just to help me solve the problem. Very thankful :)

Yesh, its round two with me vs the virus and computer system instability again. Still struggling to repair the problem. All i need now is for the windows professional 2000 cd from my friend and hopefully it will do the trick. But for now, i think i will just try my luck and continue analysing my data. Hope it doesnt aggravate any instability in my windows.
Hmm, since its sunday and all the canteens are closed, maybe i will go down to Macs to try their new burger and curly fries... something to look forward to at least... sad huh. looking forward to macdonals. haha..... :(
And i had the most wonderful dream last night. Cant remember much about it though... but it was good. :)

For the whole freakin day.... a perfectly fine saturday, i have slaved away in my lab doing what?? NOTHING!!!!!
Thanks to the stupid people who created viruses!!!
My PC was infected with deadly viruses and with my thesis and experimental data in there, i HAVE TO SAVE IT! And so, i attempted.
I tried and tried and tried till the sun sets behind those bloody hills! ARrggg....!!!!!

Lazy Blogger
Blogging is like training. Once you have stopped for a while, you just are lazy to start it again. Says a lot about human being doesnt it. Plain lazy creatures. Buming around is our nature. We live to bum. And as for people like us in this tiny island, theres a better word that brings out the flavour in bumming, its called NUAR3. Ahhh.... how good it feels to nuar. How deprived am i of nuaring.

Happy New Year 2005!!!
Happy New Year!!!!
Ok, it was the new year yesterday, but I didnt come to lab *Sshhhh*
New Years eve wasnt exactly exciting. Watched a movie, had a bbq, and acted as a driver.
New years day was slightly better, waking up at 1pm :) Ahhh....(but slept at 6am ok!) steamboat branch with family before going KTV with friends(havent been to ktv for a long long time). Dragged my friends to the airport for dinner.
And finally send my sensei off. He is going back to japan, but a few months or for good, its still not known. Hope he gets his 8th Dan. He has been such a great sensei, fatherly, kind, friendly, and jovial. He always focuses on the basics, and its something we should always look back to no matter at what level we are in things.
So today, I am BACK IN OFFICE! working... sad... but meeting some friends for dinner again to celebrate a friend's birthday. Rice table for dinner! yummy! But ex la! oh man... broke broke......BROKEN. T_T

Lost (from) Civilisation
I am so sad to realise, that i only found out about tsunami on Tuesday (3 days later then the rest of the world). Its like I've lost contact with the world. Its like a timeless world i live in. No signs of day, or night. The four walls in my lab is all i see everyday. And of course the ever radiating beauty of my monitor that is going to make me blind one of these days. Not really the fault of the monitor, i always end up just 2 inches away from the screen when i'm trying to figure out WHAT THE HELL MY RESULTS MEAN!!!

Today there is also a special training as nuskk was invited to clementi dojo to train!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i didnt knowWWWWW!!!!! T_T
But I have Vowed to not go training till I complete my masters as a way to motivate myself to complete the thesis ASAP. But..........Hands itching like mad. I wonder how long I can stick to this "vow".
Oh man!!!! SOOOO FREAKING Frustrated with my results!!!!! Its like 30-50 over curves cutting across the screen, and I have to sort them out and figure out if there IS a pattern from all this, and just pick 5!

Midnight Jogger
At the strike of midnight, I put on my jogging shoes, and set off on a painful journey to relief stress.
I realised I needed exercise during dinner today. I wanted to ran to the canteen to meet my friend for dinner. Within 20 paces, my knees started to ache!!! OMG!!! I feel like 54!!! That does it, i MUST start doing some exercise!!!
Its been almost 3 months since i last exercised. I think all the joints in my body is oxidizing (more cheem word for rusting). And i am feeling REALLY unfit! As my faithful friend has put it, bellyring is forming. Sooon, it might engulf my entire body and i will turn into a blob... I might not even be able to fit into my bougu!!! Nah... ok.. i am exaggerating.
But the feeling is good. Before the jog, I was feeling grumpy, moddy, cranky, and many other names of the famous seven dwarfs. Now, I feel like a million bucks! Recharged and aching all over. Hahaha.. but i like this feeling, makes you feel alive doesnt it? The after-exercise-aching-all-over-feel-alive feeling. YEsh! thats the one! I feel so good, i think i will do situps till dawn!

Post Christmas Syndrome
Dont feel like working!!!!!! >_<
Arrg.... and also, maybe due to the whole CARTON of coke that i manage to consume over the short span of 2-3 days of christmas celebration. Burb!!! -_-
Ooooooowwww...... dont feel too well.
Have been sleeping about 4-5 am for the pass few days too. Got hooked onto my PS2 over the holidays... damn!! not exactly what i need now. Exploring Onimusha1 and Tenchu2 concurrently. Sigh... not good not good.
Also, just got up to date (episode 10) with Gundam Seed Destiny. Oh man!!! dont know how to explain, but always feel motivated to work hard after watching it. I get motivated easily. Guess thats a good thing. But watching gundam always reminds me how tiny my day to day problems are, as compared with people who face poverty, hungry, war and those consumed by anger and hatrate. We too often become obsessed with how HUGE our own problems are htat we forgot how small they actually are once we compare ourselves with the less fortunate. I am also not saying that we should be contented with life, and do nothing. Besides, progress comes only when we are not satisfied with what we have. But then again, we must also be aware of those less fortunate... dont you think?

Family Christmas
Once again, the yearly christmas amily gathering at my mom's side has come. Gathering of cousins and uncles and aunties, granddad and grandma. Playing of Piano together with Singing of christmas songs in Chinese. Us AngMo-nised cousins trying to decifer how to read the chinese printout lyrics..(every year). Mummbling of the songs and humming loudly to cover up our inadequacies in our mother tongue. Cheering and jeering at each other. Collect presents (always chocolate) from our granddad. This year, we go according to height instead of age to decide who goes first. Poking fun at our younger cousins.
It doesnt sound like much, but its just fun to catch up with all my cousins again. What do we really need in life? Money? Achievements? Fame? Fortune? Recognition? Maybe some, maybe a little of all.
Christmas is a season to be with your love ones, your close ones. Its not all about shopping and spending. Sometimes, we all lose sight of this. Its about forgiving and forgetting, loving and caring. We are all too busy all year round to forgive, forget, love, care, share. Its the time of the year to remind ourselves of that. But then, thats what I think. What would i know, I'm just me. Merry Christmas :)

Hahah... although i've not been in much christmas mood this year, but its really nice to be christmas day! Although i am now in lab doing my thesis while everyone else is either nuaring at home or out there having fun, recovering from being badly pissed drunk from yesterday's parties, but its ok! i can take it! ITS CHRISTMAS!!!
Had a GREAT Christmas party last night at my place. A bunch of Undergrad days friends came over and used my place for the party. They organised it. I just hung around and eat and drink! haha BEST! But it was really great. Although there werent much games or excitement, but we sat around and chat all night. Its been a long long time since we did that, as a whole gang:) But I guess everyone's getting old. All of them left to return to their beds within an hour pass midnight. But I did manage to find my own source of enjoyment after that.
Turned off all the lights, light up some candles to dimly light up the living room, and turn on jazzy oldies christmas songs like the Christmas Song ("Chestnuts roasting on an open fire..." version ) and Christmas Waltz. Fantastic Atmosphere. Sigh.. dont understand why some people dont like christmas songs. THATS THE ONLY TIME TO LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS SONGS!!! If you dont listen to christmas songs during christmas... then WHEN DO you listen to them? :) Anyway, I love them :) Had a wonderful time replying smses and just lazing on the sofa gazing into the flickering flame. :) It is a Merry little Christmas :)

Was up till 4am choosing photos to develop for the 24 coupons of free 8R. Free with every roll of film development. Had to narrow down from a hefty 69 pics to 24... sigh.. late nights are killing me. Still spent time labling the negatives to make sure that the developing place dont mess it up. Hahah... Vol 3 of the essence of my backpacking photo diary, Coming right up!

I was lying on some protruding rocks under the cliff of the observation point along the southern rim of grand canyon. Everyone else was busy trying to sqeeze into a spot along the cliff, that they didnt notice this great spot. So I just relaxed my aching back along the walls, legs out stretched. Waiting till the sun set way beyond the horizon. Till the sky turned from red, to orange, to dark navy blue. Till the area was totally dark and I ALMOST couldnt find my way back to the lodge. -_-"

Working Home
Was aching from head to toe and back up this morning. So I've decided to stay home to do work instead of traveling alll the way to school. Anyway i was kinda sick of the lab after months , literally months in terms of hours spent, in there. SO! i tried working from home to see if efficiency will go up.
I woke up at 1pm....
....
Cleared a bit of my room, and my laptop (only 100MB left from 12GB of space) and.... thats all for efficiency...-_-
Sigh.. tried to do a bit.. but only manage to cough out about 3 paragraph for my chapter for literature review. Its so hard to dig up literature review of something that not much have been done on. But i just cant leave it blank. And not sure what i am going to discuss about during my results and discussion chapter, hmm... maybe I should just leave it and come back after i am done with the discussion. So i'd know whats more relevent to write.
Its nice to laze on the sofa and watch tv with ur jaw left agar... mind a blank... (part of kendo training to reach the NO MIND stage... really!) just finish watching an episode of Las Vegas. Cool show. Cool cars, lots of cash and sexy babes. I mean.. erm.. it was educational.. U learn how to catch cheats in casinos and look good in suits and how everybody in las vegas are supermodels and the most important lesson of all, DONT SLEEP WITH YOUR BOSS'S DAUGHTER. No matter how sexy and incredibly gorgeous they are. Hmm..... important lesson.
But whats this with the obsession of fathers with their daughters. Fathers are always going nuts and tries to kill the bf of their daughters. At least in shows they do. Haha.. but maybe I'll turn out to be one of them in the future. Well, no need to worry about that. Still along long time away, if at all possible.

End of experiment of staying home to do work. Doesnt work for me. Back to jail, i mean lab for me tomorrow. Need to make a come back fast! only 2 wks till end of dec and i've still got so much to do. Guess going back to office on christmas day is turning into an inevitable fact soon...-_-

!!!!!!!! havent bought my 2 gift exchange presents yet!! oh my gosh!!! >_<" gets cold sweat thinking of the brutal crowd i have to bash through to get the presents.. not to mention the emptiness of my already reduced wallet.
Guess its gonna be a blue christmas for me this yr...-_-

Oh man! soo freakin tired today!!!!
Saturday morning I went for my first jog in 4 months....or was it 5.. ahhaa.. jogged REALLL slow in case all my brittle bones shatter... 20 minutes for about 2-3 km max. Dont wanna strain my back before the tournament sunday morning. hahaa... not funny.
Forced a few sets of sit ups and chin ups.. and i feel GOOD. ahhaa....till today....-_-
Today's tournament was relatively good. I won my first match with a lucky men when my opponent and I canclled each other's kote, then i followed with a men when he didnt expect it. Caught him when he let his guard down. But got creamed by my next opponenet who happened to emerge the champion. Hahaha.. champion le!!! *consuling myself* hahaha... Aww.... split my head and chopped off my hand within 20 seconds? somewhere there la. ahhaa... but i am happy. I didnt die too horribly. ahaha.
But now my whole body is aching... ehh.h........ OOooowww... my aching back....
I AM NOT OLD!!!!!!

I can see PHOTOS!!!
Finally, I have subscribed to *HELLO* which allows me to put photos on my blog. Thats one of the reasons why I left blogspot, and also why I came back. But one bad thing is I cant seem to put the photos within an entry... hmm.. how inconvenient.
YesH! today is FRIDAY!!!!! I am sure many of you guys out there are happy as can be. BUT IT DOESNT MAKE A DAMN DIFFERECE TO ME!!!!!!

Of all the I.d.i.o.t.i.c. things I've done!!!!
Of all the I.D.I.O.T.I.C. things I have done.. this is one of the best liao!
I booked the SEM (an electron microscope/expensive/high demand, thus, at most can get a chance to use it once a week) for wednesday morning.... but i kept thinking its TODAY!!!! >_< #%&$^#%$&#%$@!#$!@#%$&%@##

All i can do now is to make another booking next THURSDAY!!!! and hopefully on friday morning (christmas eve), everyone will be too slack to come to school, I will use it as well. SEM images of my specimens are one of the 3 main things i need to complete before i can complete my experiments and wrap up my thesis. And expecially when its an equipment in high demand, its so hard to get a chance to use it.
I think stress is overflowing through my ears already....

Crap! everything feels like crap! Feeling so crappy. Dont know why. Feel so inefficient when i do work. No mood for doing anything but to lazy around, watch anime or watch kendo videos... and of course.. sleep...

BURN SBS BURN!!!!
Let me tell you guys a story... once upon a time.....
Alvin went to clementi town for dinner. He has his thesis to complete, but thought it would be good to take a break and go somewhere different for dinner for a change.
On his way home, hr waited for bus 96 to come so that he could quickly get back and continue his work.......so he waited for bus 96, and he waited and waited and waited. And he waited for almost 40minutes.. 96 dont come!!!!!!
Finally, with a helpless sigh, he gave up hope of waiting for 96 and thought maybe the service ended early today for some special reason without him knowing.. so he walked the long road back...but as he was almost reaching the highway, 96 buses started to zoom by.... one by one..-_-
When he was finally one street across his office... FOUR... FOUR!!!!! 96 was queueing in a row... as if parading in front of him..... he could have swore their exhaust fume smell, no, no, REEK of mockary...-_-
WHY!!!!! WHY ME!!!!!

When he got back to his lab.. it was empty... pitch dark... evryone has went..

Combine Training
It has been a long time since we had combine training between the only two schools in Singapore. Sensei made us do do training together amoung the seniors and the 40+ beginners. So it was back to basics, like how to hold our posture properly. That there are 3 points to note when holding Kamae.
1. Upper back must be in tension
2. Lower back must be in tension
3. Tan Tian must be in tension
As he said, Kamae is beautiful. Kendo is beautiful. You cant do beautiful kendo when you cannot even move about with a good kamae. Simply, the idea was to hold the back straight and kensen center, even when we are moving to and fro. But of course, the whole thing was quite chaotic la. haha. But it was fun to train with so many people.
However, during the Ji-geiko session, I was crap. I was fighting like a hopping bunny made of jello. wobbly, breathless, bouncing (happens whenever my legs cant take it anymore) and almost slide across the dojo but ended up crashed into the wall(Lucky me). To summarise it, i suck big time. Sigh. Just 3 months out of practice (and exercise in general) has reduced me to this..... Oh man... I need to finish my thesis soon. And start doing some exercise man! Need to get back into shape! Sucks!

Its December ALREADY?!?!
Oh MAN!!! its December ALReADY?! holy CRAP! !@^%!#$@#$$!$% This is really bad. I have exactly one more month before school reopens.. and i need to complete my masters thesis by then or else i will need to pay for next semester's school fees with... erm... pots of gold from the end of the rainbow...? And wat? eat grass?!

15 hrs a day, 7 days a week in the office is ready to drive me up the wall and down the other side anytime man! And the added stress of the deadline really doesnt help. I sneaked back for training last sunday. It was only a short 1 hour Gi-keiko after the grading session. But my arms were about to fall off the next morning. Maybe I'm old, or could be to lack of exercise for 3 months, or the fact that i didnt do old man warmups. But it really felt horrible. Training felt horrible. I was like a sitting duck screaming on top of my lungs or with a flashing neon sign seen in Vegas "HIt me! hit ME!" Oh Man!!! Hope things pick up soon... it cant get any lower then this.... now can it?
